For Danielle Deming of Danielle Deming Designs, wellness isn’t a trend — it’s a priority. When her clients, a couple of recent empty nesters, asked for a spa-like primary bathroom that could rival the comfort of their favorite luxury hotels, she knew the design had to deliver more than just beauty. It needed to feel indulgent, intuitive, and personal.
“They love luxury travel and wanted that same level of comfort and self-care at home,” Danielle says. “Every feature had to be purposeful — beautiful, but also healing and high-functioning.”
At the heart of the space is a 10' x 4' steam shower, enclosed in floor-to-ceiling glass and surrounded by clean, expansive porcelain slabs. A custom white oak vanity and natural marble flooring ground the space, while handmade-style basalt tiles and alabaster lighting add texture and softness. The result is a calming, luxurious retreat layered with spa-like details.
“The goal was something sexy, elegant, and calming,” Danielle explains. “A bathroom that feels like a wellness destination, every single day.”
To bring that vision to life, she turned to Thermasol — integrating the MicroTouch control, SteamVection steam head, and PROIII generator into the shower design. The clean look and compact footprint allowed Danielle to preserve the minimal aesthetic her clients wanted, without compromising performance.
“I chose the MicroTouch because it’s sleek, subtle, and doesn’t interrupt the look of the porcelain walls,” she says. “And the generator fit perfectly under the bench — no clutter, just clean lines.”
