Space Requirements & Resources

The MicroTouch control must be installed inside the shower and mounted 60 inches from the floor to the center of the controller. To ensure optimal performance and safety, do not place the control adjacent to the SteamVection Steam Head—it should be installed as far away from the steam outlet as possible.

Recessed Installation (Model: MTMR)
Requires a wall cutout opening of 3" diameter. If using the Mud Ring (PN: 04-8509-2) for tile integration, allow a ¾" depth and an additional 1.5" diameter through-hole for cable routing. The control face measures 3.75" square—ensure at least 3.5" clearance around all sides of the cutout and 2.5" behind the unit for proper cable clearance and accessibility.

Surface Mount Installation (Model: MTC)
Requires a 1.5" diameter through-hole for cable routing. The control face measures 3" in diameter. No mud ring is used for surface-mounted models. Allow 2.5" of rear clearance and sufficient space around the unit for safe placement and access to controls.

For the steam shower enclosure, use non-porous, moisture-resistant materials like porcelain or ceramic tile, tempered glass, and sealed grout. While natural stone is an option, it must be sealed regularly. Choose rust-resistant fixtures, and for seating, use treated, moisture-safe woods like teak.
