ThermaSol®, the leader in smart shower, steam, and sauna innovation since 1958, celebrated its 65th anniversary with a festive event at its headquarters and factory in Round Rock, Texas. The October 19th celebration honored the company’s rich history of design, craftsmanship, and breakthrough technology—all while paying tribute to the people who helped build it.
A Legacy That Began on Park Avenue
Founded by David Altman, ThermaSol’s origin began with a simple yet transformative idea: the first electric steam shower system, custom-designed for a luxury apartment on New York’s Park Avenue. That pioneering moment earned the company its first of many patents, setting the stage for decades of wellness innovation and design leadership.
A Celebration of People and Progress
The 65th anniversary event welcomed employees, family members, design contest winners, and members of the local Round Rock community. Guests were greeted with:
- A champagne toast and meet-and-greet with the 65th Anniversary Design Contest winners
- Food trucks, live music, and guided factory tours
- A keynote address by Mitch Altman, CEO of ThermaSol, and Patrick Weidl, Director of Business Development
“David Altman’s vision continues today as ThermaSol leads the industry with breakthrough innovations and customer satisfaction,” said Mitch Altman. “Dreams only come true through the hard work of our team and our partners. I’m proud of our 65-year journey as a family-run business, and we look forward to another 65 years of growth, innovation, and collaboration.”
The highlight of the event was a heartfelt raffle prize presentation by Mitch and Murray Altman, honoring two generations of family leadership at ThermaSol.

ThermaSol also announced the winners of its 65th Anniversary Design Contest, recognizing outstanding contributions in steam shower and wellness space design:
