The heater is the foundation upon which your sauna is built. The cold hard facts are, without two vital components, a large rock capacity and rocks in direct contact with the elements, you will not have a genuine Finnish sauna.

ThermaSol sets the standard by using only “peridotite” or “konno” rocks imported from Finland. And yes, the rocks are in direct contact with the elements.

This direct contact of rocks and heating elements, results in a soft, diffused heat source. Contrary to what you may have heard, water being ladled onto the rocks to create steam is a vital part of the sauna experience.
