Feature Article - American Steam

A couple of months ago, I traveled to New York City to reunite with old friends. Many of them are in the military – the 99 Army Reserve Command to be exact- and I regularly stay with them at the base in Fort Totten. The guys invited me to participate in their regular routine: work out, a game of volleyball, then hit the sauna for 20 minutes. When we arrived at the sauna, I learned that the heater had been broken for quite some time. I gave my buddies a hard time and teased them for not knowing that I work for the premier manufacturer of sauna heaters and steam showers.
When I returned to work, I told Mitch Altman (CEO of ThermaSol) about my trip and mentioned how the base’s sauna heater was broken. Before I could finish my story, Mitch was on the phone arranging to have a new heater shipped to the base. I called my friend, Major Noureddine, to tell him the good news and he was taken aback by ThermaSol’s generosity. On behalf of the troops, Noureddine expressed his sincerest gratitude for the new unit. He told me that hitting the sauna is a daily ritual for the troops and something they all had been missing for some time.
As a company, we are always thinking of ways to give back and I’m glad that we were able to make a contribution to such a worthwhile and dedicated group. On a personal note, I’m very proud to work for a company that supports and gives back to our troops. It feels good to know that a ThermaSol heater will be used every day by some of the hardest working men and women in our country, who day after day, put their lives on the line.
