I have spent so much time on a plane the past month that I’m starting to feel like that guy, Hurley from LOST (I think that crazy guy Ben is sitting next to me). As I head back home, something comes to mind from this trip that applies to selling ThermaSol.

One of the great parts of my job is that occasionally I get to go to, and stay at some pretty cool places. Recently, I was at the 2009 DPHA Show in Colorado Springs, CO. I was looking forward to this trip for many reasons. Not only do I get a large return from the DPHA organization and its members; but it was at the Broadmoor Hotel.

If you have ever been one of the lucky ones to stay there you know what a spectacular place it is. Just to give you an idea of the beauty of the scenery surrounding the Broadmoor: “America the Beautiful” was written there. The backdrop of the Broadmoor includes Pikes Peak and the Rocky Mountains; and it has an exclusive five-star rating. The food, service, and amenities are beyond comprehension for most people. Without a doubt, The Broadmoor is one of the finest hotels in the world; some say “the finest” in the United States.

After leaving the DPHA Show, and struggling to leave the Broadmoor, I was off to San Francisco for a few days to do some training.

While in San Francisco I stayed at the Hilton, a beautiful hotel. My room had an incredible view of the San Francisco Bay. Hmmm — Pikes Peak and the Broadmoor, or the Hilton with a great San Francisco Bay view … could be worse, as the say.

At this point you are probably wondering how all of my hotel stories and experiences tie into selling ThermaSol. Let me tell you: While sitting at the Airport waiting for my flight I took a quick look at the hotel receipts, and to my surprise the difference in price between the Broadmoor and the Hilton were minimal. I thought to myself, “If I had my choice of where to stay between the Hilton and the Broadmoor, and they were both around the same price, I would choose the luxury of the Broadmoor every time.” Granted they are both hotels and serve the same purpose. After doing the math you have to ask yourself: “Who is the most expensive now?”.
